When it try and connect to my internet, I have all 5 bars of internet connection but when I click connect its says the contention is limited. What does that mean and how do I fix it? My lap top is a Windows 8 HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14 SleekBook. ( I guess that's right..)

Windows 8 does that sometimes. Go to the search bar, then search control panel, then go to uninstall programs. Uninstall any useless programs. Many times norton security trials or other random downloads is the prob.

Usually this indicates a problem with the internet connection:

Your computer is connecting just fine to the router, but the router's connection to the internet is having some issues. This could be due to intermediate interruption in service due to weather or something else.

There could also just be something going wrong inside your computer. Occasionally windows has various issues that cause it to connect to a router as it should, but then not open up to its internet connection.

My advice? Re-start your computer. If this doesn't work, re-start the router (either turn it off and back on after 30 seconds if there is an off switch or simply unplug it from the wall).

If neither of these work you might have to go somewhere else temporarily until it resolves itself (if its a service provider issue).
