Why do some people get more likes(in terms of ratio to followers) on Instagram?

There is one friend I know who gets many likes(almost 1/2 the number of his followers) on Instagram. Other friends have more followers than him(sometimes 1000) but get less or equivalent likes. Is it because he is rather good looking or he is popular in school(idk if he is)?

Most people with more likes than followers usually use #tags. #tags really help people notice your pictures especially if they are not following you. Having more likes than followers doesn't necessarily mean that they are more handsome/beautiful than others. Sometimes if the pictures have cool effects, or its more attention grabbing, people usually tend to like those. See what trends there are, follow those trends. And definitely use #tags that will help you get more likes
