internet not working right?

for the last week or so my internet is been acting funny. i use my xbox to watch netflix and it was while doing so that i first noticed the problem. The internet stopped working all of a sudden and netflix stopped. i noticed my belkin router was not working (the normally blue light was orange). i get it to work again but now it does it once or twice a day. When trying to connect to xbox live it tells me there is a dns problem. i turn the xbox off and back on and it works. When im on my laptop trying to log into some of my accounts like verizon i put in my password and such and it just reloads the page when i hit enter. I've made sure i"m at the actual site and not a fake one. What the heck is going on?

Completely unplug the router and modem and leave them unplugged for a minute then plug them back in. If that doesn't do it, then you should contact your service provider (eg. Verizon, AT&T, etc).

Could be a faulty modem.
