Why can't I find this person on Facebook?

Okay so this friend of mine gave me her Facebook name...and I tried to search for her on facebook so I could add her but I couldnt find her at all. I used the Filter too and tried to narrow down the search but still couldnt find her. I dont know any of her friends so I cant find her on their friend lists too. I'm pretty sure she didnt deactivate cuz she herself wrote down her Fb name. And I'm pretty sure I didnt get it wrong since she herself wrote on a piece of paper. And even some of my friends arent able to find her? And my friends dont know her so I dont think she blocked us all.

Why can't I find her?? some glitch?
And theres no other way for me to contact or meet her :/

There is a setting to be hidden from Facebook search, so you'll probably have to ask her again for the link to her profile.

I'd suggest you to try the site listed below, it's free special Facebook, Twitter, Google+...etc Search by keywords and doesn't require logging in. You can use any info, not only Name: Location, Interests, etc.
