How to clean my laptop of malware/viruses?
I use Windows 7.

I downloaded something that would help me in making good quality gifs and I thought it was safe as on the website it had a lot of reviews which were mostly all good. It also had quotes from a lot of technology websites. However it also downloaded a lot of viruses.

I used malwarebytes to put them all in quarantine (there was two trojans and a lot of pup. Spyware and adware.) I also deleted Firefox and Google chrome assuming that more viruses might be able to come through (I know this is dumb.) However I cannot download them from browser choice or internet explorer as I believe this malware has blocked me from using it. It tells me that it cannot display the pages.

So, assuming that Malwarebytes has missed something I am doing so full scan on Microsoft's security essentials. However if nothing shows up how am I able to use the internet again? I am able to use Skype.

If you know of a solution of it please tell me if it is an easy or difficult procedure. T
I can't use the internet at all, so I am unable to download the software you have suggested. If I need expert help with trojans then I will just tell my mum that instead of risking anything. Thank you for all of your advice, I will ask the computer guy if it is possible to use avast instead. If you still want to answer, please tell me Firefox add-ons that are important to keep you safe.

Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), aka: Windows Defender- they lost their AV certification) if you have it, uninstall it along with any other anti-virus program (some require removal tool after uninstall) you may have. Download Avast here: http://www.winhelp.us/configure-avast-fr...virus.html Malwarebytes will miss malware if rootkits are involved- I recommend "Settings" tab ALL BOX'S CHECKED, for each option below choose "Show in results list and check for removal". REBOOT into SAFE MODE, open MBAM- on the "Scan" tab- start a "Full Scan". When done make sure everything found is selected, and click delete, then reboot into windows normally.

click start, if you type "browser choice" in the search bar you should be able to re install it that way depending on whether or not you have it.
if you still have internet explore again try downloading firefox/ google that way
btw if you want some good anti virus software i run:
Avast
Spybot search and destroy
CCleaner
and malware bytes.
they seem to do the job and do not cross with each other

PUP entries in a log are Potentially Unwanted Programs
Not necessarily harmful - but obviously you don't want them on your system.
They have been added there by stuff you have downloaded.

If you used Malwarebytes you should have let MBAM delete the stuff it found - not just pop it into quarantine.

If you have 2 trojans as you say then you need expert help - which, with the best will in the world- you are not going to get here.

You could try running Malwarebytes in Safe Mode.
Switch on and constantly tap F8 about once per second ..... select Safe Mode with Networking from the list of options.

If you can access the internet open Malwarebytes and Update it ( important )
Run the scan in Safe Mode - even if you cannot update.

You really need expert advice.
Go here - http://www.freepchelp.co.uk/ - there are trained experts who will be able to advise further.
Post the two recent MBAM logs.
