Question about Facebook Post?

Okay, so there is a Facebook page for my local Police Department. One of their posts states: [Insert name here] Arrested for Possession of Marijuana, and Violation of Prohibition Law.
[Insert name here] Arrested for Possession of Marijuana, and Violation of Prohibition Law.
[Insert name here] Arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of drug Paraphernalia, and Violation of Prohibition Law.

Are they even allowed to do this? (The names are there, I just censored them.)

Yes I believe they can because it may be used as a way to say stay out of trouble. Also who can arrest them they are Police.
