Why do people do this on Facebook?

Why do teens on Facebook usually girls, make posts about their boyfriends constantly or include their boyfriends every freakin post! Like they'll have a post having nothing to do with them and them add " love him so much" for no reason? Or they constantly post pictures of themselves kissing or tongueing their bfs, acting like they're so much in love and then a week later they're posting the same pictures but with another person?

I don't get how you can be that obsessed over someone if you break up a week later? There's this one chick who practically ran her boyfriends off by griping at them or acting suicidal everytime they were friends with another girl. Same chick was posting picks of herself crying after the breakup, stalking this guy, and threatening suicide for like a month until she hooked up with this desperate sex crazed player guy. ( I'm got grossed out cause this same guy tried to have sex with me but I told him to fuck off)

I've never been in a relationship, ( i haven't found anyone I like) but I'm scared to get in one because of how obsessive people get.

Why do teens get this obsessive abd post crazy? It's like they're trying to say " hey in a relationship! I can get in a relationship!"

Facebook was originally developed only for college students. Then eventually world-wide.
I don't use facebook and I don't intend to, I only hope it ends soon. Personally, I don't see any good use for facebook. It is slowly destroying social lives. Most teenagers are dumb yes but a minority are not.
