Some people think Facebook might produce a lost generation why is that?

Because so many people communicate via Facebook rather than taking the time to develop communication skills by dealing with people on a face to face basis.

The question doesn't make sense? How does Facebook "create a generation" and why would it be "lost"?

Facebook is a social networking tool and, like Myspace, will go out of style within 5 years. Those of us who use it will forget about it when the next big thing comes along.
