i am trying to download adobe flash player,i keep getting the message i have to close internet explorer?

if I close IE, that takes me off the internet and I can not continue, as you will guess I am not computer literate at all, so can some one guide me in easy steps , thank you

Navigate to link http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If McAfee security is not required uncheck the check box which asks for install McAfee Security Scan Plus

Then click on "Install Now" button this will download a executable. Now double click on the exe to start the flash played download and installation.

Flash installer will request you to close Internet explorer or any other browser as it needs to install plugin for the browser.

If you are using proxy in browser try to set the same proxy in Network connection for the download to work.
