Why is my facebook cursor different than typing in any other site?

My cursor for where I'm typing in facebook has the typical vertical line, but it has an additional branch to the right near the top. It just seems really strange to me that they would do that.

Does it show up like this for you?

Do you know why it's like that?

Developers can edit ANYTHING about the look and feel of a site.

This includes the way the cursor looks. So more than likely that's just the way the facebook team wanted it.

I'm having the same problem, and it's seriously annoying!!
But I just think its Firefox with Facebook on a Mac because it doesn't occur on Safari. I've also just tested it out on PC's with Firefox and Internet Explorer. I hope the damn dash will disappear soon, but I guess we'll just get use to it, like when FB changed to a new layout.
