Is it possible to increase internet upload speed?

I'm having trouble with online games, I asked a question earlier where somebody suggested it may be my upload speed. I only have around 3 MBPS is this enough? If not, can I increase it without paying?

3mbps is more than the average gamer has, it should be more than sufficient for any game.
Look for any software that is hogging your upload (torrents?) or check whether you have a better connection with a cable instead of wifi.
It may all just be a connection the the server you're playing on as well... try to play on a different server and see if it makes any difference.

That probably is enough. You're not really uploading a whole lot with online games, or most things.

And yes it's possible to increase your internet speed: by getting an internet plan with better internet speed. There is no magic trick that does it for free, unfortunately.

You need to speak to your internet provider. Have them tell you what speed you're paying for and what speed they believe you have now. Yes, you will have to pay more for higher speed.
