Believe it or not, you are not doing anything wrong. Email has to have printable characters sent and received so the binary stuff you have in your .jpg files is converted to printable characters so it can be sent email-wise. This is a holdover from the earliest days of email and contributes to it being insecure.

As to why it is not being sent, I don't know why that would be if you attached it in the proper manner.

1. Make sure change mode to HTML
2. Some email / outlook only allow to send or attach below than 10mb. Please check your picture size or try to zip first if needed.
