internet connection gone after windows vista computer restarts?

everytime my sony vaio computer equipped with windows vista home restarts (due to a lack of power supply), the internet connection will be gone for a while. it will be back after a restart 30mins later.

i think its some safety feature, is there a way to turn it off?

If it restarted and then the internet connection was gone, then you can Disable and then Enable your connection. to do so, go to the control panel, Click on Network and internet connections>network connections>Right click on your LAN icon >choose disable.
Then right click again and choose Enable>Log off and then log on.
The problem should be solved.
