Why is my Facebook page temporarily unavailable?

I just tried to log onto Facebook and got this error message:

Account Unavailable

Your account is temporarily unavailable due to site maintenance. It should be available again within a few hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Why is this happening? What does it mean? When you do think I can log onto my Facebook page?

It's happening because facebook is a pile of cr*p to be honest, but it doesn't mean you've lost your account or anything it's just doing some site maintanence so it cant have users on it constantly... usually when this happens most people are unable to get on facebook or stay on facebook for long periods of time. You should be able to get back in, in about half an hour, if not. Just keep checking up on the site.

It happens every now and then, it's no big deal. Sometimes when you just hit the "back" button you'll get your page just fine. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit, but don't worry, your page will come back soon enough. The site is just being tweaked when that message pops up.

Facebook has been doing a lot of server work lately. This has resulted in a significant amount of downtime

That's what it says when I tried to log in today as well!
It happened to me once before.
I just waited and it worked perfectly fine the next day
