Ebay Help as a Seller?
I had someone buy some books on Tuesday night. I shipped the books out Wednesday at noon. And received an email around 330. Stating that the buyer wanted to cancel their order because they did not look at the edition of the books, and wanted a refund. I told the buyer sorry but because I had already shipping the books out I would not be able to cancel or refund. They buyer than continued to "haggle" me saying if they kept one of the books can they return the other books for a certain price.

I again stated that I had the books listed as a package. And therefore because I had shipped out the package I would not be able to return the package.

I sent them out 2 day priority mail with insurance. And yesterday(Friday) checked the tracking and saw that it was "refused" due to wrong address. address on package is same as the one buyer has posted.

I am pissed! And DO NOT want to refund this jerk because they didn't pay attention to what they were buying.

When I look at my listing from my phone on the eBay app, it shows "no returns accepted' but I can not find this online when I view my listing. I also told the person multiple times. Because I already shipped out the package the transaction is complete and there is nothing I can do.

All comes back to, buyer basically wanting to cancel order because of HIS ERROR!

How do I go about this? I don't care about negative feedback to be honest. I've been on eBay since 06 with percent feedback and they have a brand new account.

Since the buyer refused the package, they tossed their buyer protection out the window.

Also report the buyer as trying to negotiate a deal after the sale as well as having an incorrect address on file. use the "report a buyer" link and do them as 2 reports.

You have 2 options.... ignore the package and just keep the funds, or refund them only the price of the books less shipping costs. Keep in mind that if they open a claim, they are just opening a "can of worms" on their end and you will prevail. After all, they can't claim the item did not arrive as they will hurt themself by having a "wrong address". They can't claim that the items were not as described as they refused the package.

I'd just bury the package and go on. If they buyer harrases you, just report them for that too. If they leave a nasty negative, report them for that as well. It's like a carnival game... the buyer just keeps being shot down for good reason.
