Could somone having WAY too many applications on their facebook page cause a web browser to crash?
Someone I know has at least 50 applications on their facebook page, and every time I get on their page, Internet Explorer, and Firefox will both crash. Is the extreme amount of applications causing this ? Is the web browser is trying to do more than what it can handle?

maybe it caused this
to close some of these unwanted applications , click the grey arrow on top of the application . this should close the application and it won't load in the future. i have done this to 100's of applications since they were taking too long to load . Ads |

Yes, probably.
When I see friends' pages which I'd say have around 180 applications it does significantly reduce the speed of my browser (Firefox and IE), but for me it hasn't crashed before. It could also depend on your connection speed, computer memory.. It might be that many/some of their applications use flash/ too many pictures that take too much time to load by your browser and then that causes it to stop responding. |
