Is he interested in me?

Is he interested in me?
I'm so confused on whether this guy likes me or not.
So i'm in college and this guy was in my English class last semester and I liked him but never got to talk to him because I had to run to class after that.
Well, it turns out he is in my comm class this semester and the other day he approached me and started talking to me. He seemed nice enough.
Then he friended me on facebook like right after class (which means he had to be looking for me) and messaged me the day after.
And then yesterday, he gave me his phone number and we starting texting, and he told me last night that he "thought I am very attractive."
Then this morning he texted me good morning? But this afternoon his texts were like one word answers, like he lost total interest.

I am soo confused. At first I thought he was being overly friendly until he said the attraction thing but I don't know. He didn't specify that he likes me and he hasn't really said anything since. So now I am kind of confused. Am I overthinking this and is he just friendly? or does he just not like to text anymore? or idk? PLEASE help

if he does like you he may feel you are not interested in him so he lost interest in you or he is waiting for you to make the next move though its difficult to assume if he is gay or very friendly because many tend to hide it to confuse like saying they love you without you really knowing perhaps you two should hangout more and get to know each other in time you will know if he is gay/bi or straight

From your description it appears that he likes you. Just let him take things slowly and let things develop naturally and on their own.
