If I download sims 3 do I need internet connection to play?

I am going to download The Sims 3: Generations expansion pack, but I want to know if I need internet connection to actually play the game once it has downloaded. Thanks.

Nope, all you need is to have the game downloaded.. If you want to update it or add features then you will need an internet connection, but to play the game its self you do not need an internet connection

If you buy it retail, no, but you will need internet to update it. If steam, then yes (Steam is a PC Community that sells games). I don't know about other PC Game Selling Communities, only Steam.
