What, If I buy a router, do I have to pay monthly bills to enter the internet?
Was just wondering. Smile

Yes, you still have to pay... Your internet connection (one connection) is a paid service technically your router has nothing to do with this connection, the modem handles the (one) connection. What the router does is allow you to connect more than one device to your paid internet connection.

Huh? A router will take an internet connection and split it to be used by multiple devices at the same time. You don't have to pay to use a router, but you'll have to pay to get the internet some kind of way or there will be nothing to hook the router up to.

the internet provider will supply you with the router-some providers give free internet but a very very slow connection.

Of course you have to pay...if you don't pay, your router won't work. Whether it's from a broadband company or not. But if you're talking about paying for the router itself, then it depends on the company that made it. TalkTalk don't charge anything for the actual router.
