Am I the only one who thinks a relationship status on FB is important?
Me and my boyfriend of one year recently broke up over FB. Now I don't have a page but I happen to be playing around on my sister's page and I went onto his page. On there his relationship status was listed as single, and his excuse was since I don't have a page their is no reason for him to list that he is in a relationship and he is not going to change it. He stated that if he gives in to my demand I will continue to demand things from him. Which in my book is a bunch of BS I don't ask him for much and I feel as though I shouldn't have to ask him to change his relationship status. So now we not together, but he keeps telling me how much he loves me and wants to be with me and how I'm real silly to trip off a status. See I wouldn't care if he had the page and never used it but he be on there posting pictures of himself and everything. So tell me what you guys think should I leave things the way they are and find some else or forget about what is on Facebook.

I think it's not a big deal but if by bf flat out refused to list me as his gf I'd let him go too thinking he wants to appear single to the ladies and that's not cool.

If it was my boyfriend and he had a Facebook page and I didn't and he kept it as single while we were dating, I would be fuming. That is so wrong to me. It's like allowing girls to comment on his pictures and message him and everything else. My ex didn't have a Facebook page but I did, and I put that I was in a relationship even though he didn't have one. That's no excuse! If you guys get back together I would definitely make him do that. If he says no, find someone else. It may seem like nothing to him but us girls are different. Unfortunately the world is full of girls who don't know what boundaries are and flirt with every guy under the sun, so we have to make sure our guys don't get taken away! You aren't the only one who thinks that's a big deal, don't worry!

I think you're making a big deal out of nothing, it's a social networking site. But, at the same time he should put that he's in a relationship so other girls don't get the impression that he is single. If he is posting photos and status' about you then it doesn't matter if he has a relationship status or not. Just let it be, as long as he isn't flirting its fine.

Collegegirl, its not a big deal cause he hasn't brought it up.

So since it was brought up it is a big deal. The guy is obviously using fb as a hook up machine.
This guy ain't taking you serious. If he was he would do anything and I mean anything to keep you. Sry but you found out the hard way that your not for him.
