"Sticky" keys?

"Sticky" keys?
I am running windows 8(not 8.1) When I play games like Minecraft or Skyrim and I hold down a movement key for 3 or more seconds and then let off my character will still keep walking. I have disabled sticky keys and the key itself does not physically stay pressed down. Is it the keyboard itself or is there something wrong with the computer?
