How do I delete a mention on my Twitter app?
I have an Andriod phone, & I have no idea how to delete a mention on it. Even if I have to delete the mention on a computer, I can't seem to delete it, or even let Twitter know that I've seen it, because it's extremely irritating to get a notification every time I sign onto my Twitter application on my phone.

--- Can anyone please tell me how I could possibly "read" it in a way so that Twitter knows that I've seen it, or is there a way to delete the mention?
Tried looking for a rubbish bin, & there isn't one. Sad

There should be like a little rubbish bin picture next to the mention (where the “retweet“ and “reply” are)

You can't erase them because they're not messages that are saved on your phone. The @ mention area is just a built-in search feature that searches for people who used your name. Those spam-accounts used your name so they're going to come up in a search. Doesn't matter if you erase the app. It's not a message on your phone...it's a search that it'll find them every time it searches.

This is like asking how you can erase things from Google searches. It doesn't work that way.

You can erase Direct Messages by swiping them because they're actually messages to you.
