Computer Blue Screen of Death?
I have a Dell Inspirion 570, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Bit Computer, lately I've been getting the BSOD so I've been writing down every error it pops up on the blue screen and here they are
1. Stop 0x0000007F 2.0x00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 3.0x00000018 REFERENCE_BY_POINTER 4.0x0000001E 5.0x0000003B SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 6.0x0000001 APC_INDEX_MISMATCH 7.0x0000003B fltmgr.sys 8.0x00000079 dxgmms1.sys 9.0x000000135 mfehidk.sys well those are the ones I've recorded before they started to repeat. I would say its a file system problem, take everything you can't live without and put it on a flash drive, then reset the computer to factory settings, always worked for me

Download and install this: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/bluescreenview_setup.exe
The next time you have a BSOD, open this application right after your computer boots. It will tell you exactly what caused the problem. You can look here for how to read the data the tool provides: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html I'm guessing you've either got some bad driver in your system, or you've got some malware that is corrupting your boot sequence |

check that all the fans are working then unplug and open the computer up and clean all the dust out of everything real good and then wiggle all the plug connections to be sure they are making good contact, often that will solve problems like this. replace any bad fans.
if you still have issues you need to run a disk checker and see if any bad sectors show up, if they do then your hard drive needs to be replaced. |

•Hi Matty,
I am Kaveri from the Dell Social Media Outreach team. To isolate the issue between hardware & software, run hardware diagnostics. If all tests are passed, it confirms that the issue is not with hardware on the computer. - Press the power button to turn on the system - Press F12 repeatedly or Fn+power until you see boot menu - Select diagnostic and wait for the test to complete . In case you get any error please make a note of it Otherwise it is a problem with the software. You can do PC restore to bring the system back to factory settings. Please find the steps below to do PC restore. As soon as you turn on the system tap F8 key 7-8 times to get the recovery option. Step 1 : After getting to system recovery options click on 6th (last) option - 'dell data safe and emergency back-up' and wait for few seconds for next screen. Step 2 : On next screen, click on 2nd option – ‘select other system and more options’. Step 3 : On next screen, click on 2nd option – ‘restore my computer’. Step 4 : On next screen highlight the option ‘factory image’ and then click on ‘next’. Step 5 : On next screen click on 2nd option – ‘restore without preserving new and used files’. Step 6 : Click on – ‘YES’ Note# "Please back up data to avoid data loss while the computer is restored back to Factory settings". In case of any further assistance Please feel free to contact me directly by sending a reply to this blog. We would recommend you do not post your private information on a public forum.
