Skyrim Marrage Help?

I was going to get married to Ysolda in Skyrim. I made the appointment and everything but I forgot to go. I decided I would do it again later but when I asked her again the priest said that I had to work things out with her but there is no other option for her.

You could try reloading a previous save, if you have any before the marriage date

try taking her to O'Donnels on 5th, she really likes the Cranberry Walnut salads there. Bring an expensive present.

I haven't done it myself, but I've read that if you miss the ceremony, you have to apologize to your intended and convince them to try again. Not sure what that means, though. Maybe you have to wait and let Ysolda return to Whiterun, cool off for a few days, and then visit her wearing your amulet of Mara and see if there's an option to talk about it, ask again, or do another quest to regain her favor. Or just marry someone else.
