Can our school track our texts through their wifi?
So the school set up this new system where we have to log in to our accounts to access their wifi. People keep saying that when logged into the wifi, they can see our texts and whatnot. Is this possible though? I thought not because texts use cell towers and wifi uses internet.

Yeah, that's not possible.
Even if you were to send texts via some Wifi based application (like Kik, or Whatsapp, or TextFree), they couldn't read it. The most they can do is see what sites you've been to on the browser. Ads |

they cannot read your texts. in fact, even the cell phone service provider cannot read your text. now it is possible for them to determine that a text has been sent but not specifically what was said in the text.
