If I get a higher category ethernet cable will it increase my internet connection?
Well I have this modem and with it came a CAT5 ethernet cable and I been wondering if I get a newer generation, will it increase my internet connection?

No.
Standard CAT5 is rated for 100 megabits per second. Your internet connection doesn't come close to this speed. Ads |

i agree with himm it does'int matter the cable there rated differently but it truely does'int matter your in connection wont peck 70 megs.

Yes, it will raise network speed at little more, but it is effective and a cheap solution to increase network speed for free: The Cable is CAT 6
