How do I give my crush at school my number even though we don't have any classes together?

I've seen my crush around school a lot but we don't have any classes together and I really want to talk to him and give him my number but he is always with his friends and I've never talked to him before. i don't know how to start up a conversation with him, I want to give him my number just in case he try's to give me a fake number or in case he never replays then I feel stupid. He's not popular or nothing and I don't think a lot of girls like him and he's country so if someone could give me some steps to getting him to talk to me or some good conversation starters I would be really happy

iI'mnot being ignorant but a closed mouth doesn't get fed.So he is probably clueless that you like him.if you follow him on instagram or twitter thats okay, but you can send him a message on twitter, or facebook. Or if you see him in the hall one day just tell him hi.Now if he ignores you just let him be, because you don't want to look thirsty. So when you say hi make sure you are by yourself and he is by himself that way its no distractions and just say "hi, here is my number call or text me because I want to get to know you better."but make sure you get his number as well.I hope everything works out!
