Is Rewards1.com a scam?
so I'm looking to get mine craft for free because I really don't want to pay the $30 because I'm trying to save up for stuff and I'm not about to pirate it either now I've read some reviews on some websites and they say It works and It's okay but I'm not sure if they're legit so how this website works is you work for points (liking facebook pages and signing up for email and such) and it takes a while but you can get some points (one website said it took a guy about 2 months to get $58 dollars I think) so I need to know is this site legit and if it's not are there any similar sites that are legit Thanks for helping!

Hi Justin,

How's it going? I got curious with your question because I'm also an avid fan of minecraft. Anyway, I did a little research about the website http://www.rewards1.com and check this out:

1. http://www.rewards1.com with 86.8% similarity. Majority of the feedback/reviews about the website is negative.

2. http://www.scamadviser.com says the website location and registrant is from the US however, the telephone number is from Canada. The website is using an anonymous service which prevents us from identififying the site owner. So you need to watch out.

3. http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/rewards1.com# says majority of the website's visitors are from India.

4. http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/www.rewards1.com says the website's vendor reliability, trustworthiness, privacy & child safety is excellent.

5. McAfee http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/www.rewards1.com found no records of threats/problems for this website.

7. Google's safe browsing diagnostic page (http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagn...ards1.com) didn't listed the website to be suspicious/malicious over the past 90 days.

8. The website is not considered blacklisted according to: http://rbls.org/www.rewards1.com

9. The "contact us" page from their website doesn't give you any assurance that they'll be getting in touch with you.

10. The TERMS OF SERVICE is flaunted. But I hope it's not just for show.

If you decide doing business with them, be very extra careful.

Hopefully this helps.

Good luck!

Regards,

Jack

Members get paid when a number of surveys and offers are completed. But most want personal and financial data, and/or they require you sign up for spam or download adware or malware.
http://mywot.com/en/scorecard/rewards1.com (read comments)

I don't know of any that are worth the time it takes to earn enough for something substantial.

Hello Justin,

I know how it feels when you are seeking for legitimate sites wherein you can also earn just for answering some surveys or referring friends and alike, because I've done the same. I can't say if you can label http://www.rewards1.com/ as a scam, but they seem to have some reputation issues.

Have a look at http://verify1st.com/Rewards1.com and you'll have an overview whether you can trust a website or not. This free tool can help you out since they reveal a website's reputation, identity as well as relationships.

In addition, here are some information that I think you should look into. Based from http://www.whois.com/whois/rewards1.com:

Domain Name: REWARDS1.COM
Registrar: GKG.NET, INC.
Whois Server: whois.gkg.net
Updated Date: 05-Aug-2012
Creation Date: 13-Apr-2002
Expiration Date: 13-Apr-2022

This is actually good because they have existed for a good amount of time and intends to be in the business for long since it'll expire on 2022.

On the other hand, its global (Alexa) ranking is not that high yet there are more than thousands of sites linking into the website - http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/rewards1.com.

In terms of web safety, it's good to know that both Norton and McAfee say that they have tested the site and it's safe to use, which means that there are no web issues/threats found. Also, the said domain has not been blacklisted yet.

Anyway, I also checked into their website and you can see Testimonials and Contact Us pages. These are good signs that there are ways to know and further check into the experiences of the users as well as customer support. I didn't see any contact number but you can get in touch with the administrator through e-mail.

Furthermore, they have Excellent ratings in terms of trustworthiness, reliability, privacy, and child safety. You can see more of these mixed feedbacks from MyWOT community. Some more reviews to read on are: http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.rewards1.com . Be reminded though that comments from these people are highly subjective as they were based from their experiences.

Bottom line, all these don't necessarily make them scammers. It's up to you to decide how much level of risk are you willing to take. I suggest that if you still have a bit of skepticism, trust your gut.

Just to add a suggestion, other legitimate sites that you can try and earn a few bucks:

* http://www.surveyscout.com
* http://www.surveyhead.com
* http://www.focuslinesurveys.com
* ww.aipsurveys.com

Hope this helps! Tread carefully!
