Should I upgrade our internet speed?

So a long time ago my dad upgraded from 30Mgps to 100 from charter but he saw no difference so he downgraded back to 30. I used to play online games on my ps3 just fine without noticing issues until I couldn't sign in at all then my dad told me he downgraded a long time ago, the whole time I thought we had 100mgps but it was 30. The issue is that my parents and grandparents like watching international tv so we have a 3 tv boxes connected at all times and they never shut it off. Is that the reason why our other devices won't connect properly? I think the tv boxes are taking up too much bandwidth but I don't know if upgrading back to 100 would even fix the problem.

You definitively need to upgrade to 100mbps if several computers or devices in the house are using the internet

With 3 users streaming tv at the same time they won't leave you enough bandwidth for gaming, so yes, your dad should update to 100 MBps. By the way, I have 1,5Mbps and barely can watch Youtube!
