why does google chrome keep using yahoo as its search engine when i use the omnibox i already checked the settings and made sure its google but its still using yahoo

try going to settings and going to the settings portion half way down the page and drop down the manage search engines tab. there you can select which ones to delete and which ones to set as default.

You need to change it to Google search engine.
