When i save a picture off google chrome it opens up a new window?

okay so
i click "save as" on a google chrome picture (like on google images)
and a new window with the picture pops up (windows photo viewer)
how do i make it so it doesnt pop up i mean

Yep, that's frustrating.

Go to the Settings, then click on the "Show advanced settings..." link at the bottom.
Scroll down to the Downloads section (it's near the bottom). You'll see the text "You have chosen to open certain file types automatically after downloading."
Click the "Clear auto-opening settings" button.

Close the Settings tab and try downloading an image again.
Good good?
Now, no more clicking on "Always open files of this type" in the menu next to the downloaded item, you hear? =)
