No audio in Google Chrome?
Since yesterday, the audio/sound for Google Chrome is not working for my computer. I exited the browser, restarted the computer, and there still was no sound. It is not only for the site Youtube, but for every website. I tried testing out Internet Explorer and there was audio. Everything in my computer has sound instead of Google Chrome. My earplugs won't work, it's all the way up to maximize sound, and both speakers are on. Should I uninstall Google Chrome and install it again? Or is there another way to get sound back? Thank you

The Audio returned (just a quick fix before the official update of Google chrome, which will fix it.

I changed my speaker type from quadraphonic / 5.1 to stereo, and audio returned to chrome.

I have had the same problem.
This was my fix. I'm using windows 7, but should also work in Vista or XP.
Go to: Control Panel/Hardware and Sound/Sound/Communications Tab/The setting says "When windows detects communications activity". I was messing with settings here. I set it from "Reduce the volume of other sounds by 80%",to "Do nothing". This is what killed the sound in all online embedded audio.

For some reason this only affected Google Chrome, and not IE or Firefox.
