Use static IP on the Android phone. There are plenty tutorials on YouTube.

I assume that your laptop is connecting to the Internet either by Ethernet cable, and you want to use the laptop's wireless adapter to provide the connection for your Android device.
You need to open the properties of the adapter that is connect to the Internet (the Ethernet adapter) and look for the option to share the Internet Connection. Set the option for Internet Connection Sharing. This should automatically create a DHCP service on the other network interface (the wireless interface), and provide a router function to allow multiple devices to use the shared Internet. You will have to configure the wireless settings, and may have to use an Ad-hoc network. I hope this helps. |
