Is watching frozen on watch32 illegal?
So, theres been this link floating around to watch32.com saying that we can watch Frozen. I kinda started to watch it, thinking that it is an ok site because I couldn't find anything bad on it when I searched. Then I start hearing about how its illegal to watch Frozen there because it isn't publicly available (still in the theaters and what not) with copyrights and such. Is it really illegal? Can someone explain to me what is happening? Because I can't find anything bad about the website besides these rumors from other people.

Any online distribution of copyrighted materials without permission of the copyright owners is, by definition, "illegal" as a copyright infringement.

Under US copyright laws, your online viewing/playing of a copyright infringement is, itself, a copyright infringement. The good news (for viewers) is that it is currently only a civil violation and not a criminal violation.

It's not illegal... it is a legit site and if it were illegal or without permission the site would not be in operation. They have something that allows them to show movies. If it were illegal, I would have been fined for watching it over and over and over.

The people who made that movie didn't do it for free. They're supposed to be getting paid. They get paid when we watch it at the theater or rent it from a legitimate service. If we watch it for free from a pirating sight, then we're taking their income from them. Maybe some would say they already get plenty of income, but who are we to decide that?
