phone number on facebook?

i was recently informed that if you type in your cell phone number connected with your facebook your profile will come up.

i dont really like that, so i went and removed my phone number and now at the top after i log in it asks for me to to add a phone number to secure my account.

When i typed in my phone number in the search my profile still came up, even after i deleted my number off my facebook. Is there something else i should be doing so i cant be searched by my phone number?

You're not alone . facebook i think there is a way tohide your phone number but you need to go to the facebook setting i think its the privacy setting but if you want to really hide it you need to log on your computer to open your account on your timeline then you want scrolldown until you see word about me ! there is on the right side corner lists where says gendar or phone number you want to click on edit there you want click on the icon star or up and down arrow scroll down the menuthere is a way you can hide or delete your phone numbers. and click save or okay. there wont show up on your timeline. when people review your profile. but on fb andriod cell phone is pretty not easy . i did that hidding my # later still come out on the fb instant chat box when people im you. maybe you can read the Rules that facebook page helper page have some easy ideas to do on the phone. .i think it better you read the rules sheets using your computer then you can find out how to do it on your phone. .

Yes only if you have attached and verified your Phone number via your Facebook Account. If so then you can also login to your facebook account with your Phone number instead of your email address.

But if you want to hide the number then its easy.

Go to your profile, Edit on phone number option you will see an option (Only me, friends or public). Select only me and you are done. Now no one will find your phone number except you.

Even After you Delete your Phone Number it May Take a Little While For Facebook Search To Update There Database
