can you play halo anniversary co-op without xbox live and no system link?

I've been trying to get split screen to work so me and my brother can play but is it possible to play with out having internet connection or having a system link I don't have of connecting to the internet on it and I only have the one console and game

The game does have Co-op without any internet connect and a system link is not required, you can play two player splint screen on the same console. Plus, the game is a remade, up-to-date graphics of the original so it should have the two player mode (but no three/four player co-op).
So yeah, you can still play splint-screen without internet.
