I was billed for a purchase on steam that was declined?
I attempted to buy the Age of Empires II HD and Age of Empires the Forgotten Package for $29.99 with a $50 VISA Gift Card that I bought and activated online yesterday on the gaming website Steam.

I made sure the information matched up with the information I registered the card under, but it said the purchase was declined. However, when I went to check my balance on the card, it was down to $15.73. My VISA site lists a charge for $34.27 from STEAM Games, but STEAM Games said the purchase was declined and I didn't get the game.

So I was charged off the VISA Gift Card, but I did not receive any purchase.

What should I do? I'm out $34 and I have no game. This is my first time using Steam and I don't know what to do.

Try re-starting Steam client. This should sync and displays fresh list of games on your account

If that doesn't work, then contact Steam support - https://support.steampowered.com/
Support accounts are different from regular Steam accounts. Therefore, you'll have to create new account. After logging into Steam support account, create new ticket and include transaction details like type of card, issuer bank, date & time of purchase, etc. If possible, upload some screenshot(s) as proof of purchase

Steam support will respond to your query within 5-7 business days
