I got bad feedback on eBay , how to get it removed?
Okay so i was selling a Reborn baby doll and i already 'sold' it to someone who placed a bid because she was a birthday gift for the persons daughter. and someone placed a bid at the very LAST minute!! I tried my best to cancel it but i couldnt it time! and i was worried about this because i know i can't make everyone happy. Anyways she gave me bad FB saying she won the bid but i gave it to someone else. That's partly true, but not fully true. After the bid she messaged me and said that she will pay on Wednesday when her husband gets paid which violates my payment guidelines to pay within 24 hours. Now if she would have did this it would have sucked but obviusly i would have to give the baby to this woman. But since she couldn't pay 'right then' i gave it to the other person who paid instantly when i sent her the 2nd chance offer. I am now requesting revised feedback from this buyer because We both have all positive feedback so a neg will look bad on her profile as well. I won't give her bad FB right now but i will if she decides to not give me a pos feedback .. or something because she couldn't even pay for the doll right then anyway so it's clearly not my fault after all.

I also reported her, i didn't open a case yet to get my pos. feedback because i'm waiting for her to respond. I know i should be patient but this is unfair i could see if she paid and i gave it to someone else but she didn't. Can eBay take the neg. feedback off somehow? Or does she have to do it?
The doll sold on Monday also. so No i can't accept a payment on Wednesday when her husband gets paid.....
Thank you (others except for gino) - I know what i am talking about GINO . ebay even stated if they don't meet my buying requirements then they are in violatation. Not me. I understand the rules just fine and the 2nd bid was only up $2.00 anyway so what exactly am i losing? I asked for a payment within 24 hours and she couldn't meet this so it's again not my fault. If YOU read eBay guidelines it clearly states unless we make an agreement they have to pay when i say or they are in violation. Read
the listing before you buy! What seller is going to give someone 6 days to pay for something. DO NOT BID IF YOU CAN NOT PAY FOR AN ITEM , IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT! AND THAT'S WHAT SHE DID!! So you can call me stupid some more if you want i don't care , lol. AGAIN like i previously stated if she paid within the time frame of 24 hours she would have gotten the doll but she did not so please tell me how i'm at fault. .Looks like YOU need to go read eBay's policies!

It depends if the negative feedback was warranted or not. If you did it just to be mean, you could lose your account. If you did it b/c it was deserved, then well, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Here are some circumstances that will allow you to remove negative ebay feedback.

Feedback Rating Withdrawal (feedback rating removed, comment remains)

* Members who use the eBay Mutual Feedback Rating Withdrawal process will have their feedback rating withdrawn once both members have completed the process.
* eBay will withdraw the feedback rating if provided with a ruling or settlement agreement from an eBay-approved certified dispute resolution service or a settlement resolving a lawsuit.

Feedback that meets any of the circumstances below is feedback abuse and may be subject to removal.
Feedback that doesn’t meet any of the reasons outlined below will not be removed:

* eBay is provided with a valid court order finding that the disputed feedback is slanderous, libelous, defamatory or otherwise illegal.
* The feedback comment contains profane, vulgar, obscene, or racist language or adult material. Inflammatory language, such as “fraud, liar, cheater, scam artist, con man” etc., while strongly discouraged, will not be removed.
* The feedback comment contains personal identifying information about another member, including real name, address, phone number, or e-mail address.
* The feedback makes reference to an eBay, PayPal or law enforcement organization investigation.
* The feedback comment contains links or scripts.
* Negative feedback intended for another member will be considered for removal only in situations where the member responsible for the mistaken posting informs eBay of the error and has already placed the same feedback for the correct member.
* Feedback left by a person ineligible to participate in eBay transactions, according to Section 1 of the eBay User Agreement, at the time of the transaction or the time the feedback was left.
* Feedback left by a member who provided eBay with false contact information and could not be contacted. In general, the transaction period is considered to be 90 days from the end of the listing or 30 days from the date the feedback was left, whichever was longer.
* Feedback left by a member who bid on or purchased an item solely to have the opportunity to leave negative feedback for the seller, with no intention of completing the transaction.
* Feedback left by users who are indefinitely suspended for certain policy violations within 90 days of registration. eBay takes the position that members who are indefinitely suspended soon after registration shouldn’t be able to permanently impact another member’s account.
* eBay will automatically remove feedback from members indefinitely suspended within 90 days of registration. Not all suspension types qualify for automatic feedback removal. For example, accounts that are suspended for non-payment of eBay bills and instances when eBay provides the member with the opportunity to fix the issue (and be reinstated), do not qualify for automatic removal.

"We both have all positive feedback so a neg will look bad on her profile as well."

As a seller you can NOT leave negative feedback to a buyer. Don't believe me? Go try it. All you are allowed to leave is a positive. If you try to word the positive in a negative way eBay will remove it upon the buyers request. It's been this way for around three years now.

You got a well-deserved neg for stupidity and I hope any future buyers heed it!

"i already 'sold' it to someone who placed a bid... someone placed a bid at the very LAST minute!! I tried my best to cancel it"

Dummy, the auction isn't over until it's OVER. There is NO binding contract until the auction ends. Most bids are placed in the last minute of the auction. That's the POINT of selling at auction instead of Buy It Now.

So, right off the bat here, you turned down a legit bidder who was willing to pay MORE than the previous bidder because you bought her lying sob story. You are GULLIBLE.

"she ... that she will pay on Wednesday ... which violates my payment guidelines to pay within 24 hours."

Your guidelines are meaningless. EBAY gives the buyers at least SIX DAYS to pay: 2 before you can report them, and four more after you have reported them.

"i gave it to the other person who paid instantly when i sent her the 2nd chance offer."

You Fd up royally, chicklet. You already had a buyer.

"am now requesting revised feedback from this buyer because We both have all positive feedback so a neg will look bad on her profile as well. ... I won't give her bad FB right now but i will"

Sellers can't neg buyers, you dumbA. If you leave her a negative comment, eBay will remove it and will be none too happy with you.

"I also reported her"

For what? Being stupid enough to try to buy something from you? This buyer has not done ANYTHING wrong. All you've done is bring yourself to eBay's attention as a stupid seller who hasn't a clue what the H you're doing. You have no chance of getting that neg removed.

"it's clearly not my fault"

Every bit of this bad situatrion is your fault because you don't have the first clue how eBay works.

If you continue selling on eBay (and I hope you don't, you're driving off legit paying buyers and encouraging scammers with your stupidity):

1. eBay, not you, decides who the auction winner is though the competitive bidding process (or the first person to buy it now).

2. If someone wants your item, it is up to them to bid competitively. You are there to make money, not collect sob stories. The person who underbid obviously did not want your item as much as the winning bidder.

3. An auction is a BINDING LEGAL CONTRACT TO SELL the item to the paying winning bidder or buyer. You cannot simply decide to sell the item to someone else.

4. Buyers have at least six days to pay no matter what you say in the auction. So stop displaying your ignorance in your auction listings.

5. Refusing to ship to a paying buyer is called seller non-performance and eBay has a very low tolerance. If you pull this stunt again you're likely to find your account suspended.
