A unique online store name?
A friend and I are starting an online business. We will be selling various things, 95% to be homemade. We have products, lists, prices, everything but the name. We will be selling baby, kids, teen, women's, and men's various things, holiday decor, home decor and other miscellaneous products. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

You should probably start selling on etsy.com or a similar site that already has customers.

One thing to bear in mind, an abstract brand name like Google, Amazon ma require a bit more of a "branding" name promotion campaign, while a more descriptive name might gain a tiny bit of search engine ranking benefit. I would rather see you focused on a somewhat narrower audience, it can actually be easier for a unique specialty store to traction, perhaps you can come up with some unifying theme, like a square button on every product. SquareButtons.com is available, perhaps a bit misleading but it does suggest clothing indirectly.

You will probably want to also test on Etsy.com, actually not bad place to start before having your own site, there are something like 435,000 hand crafted 'stores' there so you might get some name ideas looking around. Cost 20 cents for each item listed and 6% ? of the sale price, the culture there generally ships in very nice personalized packaging and tend to advertise round dollar prices. ($2 instead of $1.99) You may well find that getting people to view your products is the hardest part, these marketplaces can help bring you prospects (particularly if you pay to get your name to come up in searches)

You will find the best domain name ideas are already taken, particularly the .com TLD.

There are sites with tools that help you come up with fictitious names, including: wordlab.com, naming.net, wordoid.com, lingzini.com, namestation.com, some of these tools look up the domain name availability as you go.
Any name not already used in a .com web site name is probably not trademarked.
