Although seo has a few good points I would like to add my experience is good seo(keyword back links ect...) everyone knows these .But were we excelled is getting into a niche market lets say you sell cow girl cloths through Facebook and pintrest you would follow hundreds of sites that are country or cowgirl related and do a lot of sharing or giving useful information it is a good way to get your name out there fast and if you have a good personality people will come flocking back to you.

It's very innovative and people will get to know about your site! There is no other site that will give you 2 years of promotion for under $500, with half of that going to charity! Even with flyers and mailouts, it really adds up! I'm sure it will drive traffic to you! You can link a social media page, current promotion, or any link you want.
Good luck with the business! I believe the first few companies receive a free month on the homepage carousel which will give you even more online presence! I don't really think linkedin will work too well. I've run facebook and linkedin ads, and they haven't really worked too well.
