Can I get in trouble?
Okay so, I pose as a celebrity on kik messenger (app) i only do it because my life is hard as I lost my dad a few years ago, anyway this girl who is also posing wanted my account and because is wouldn't give it to her she tracked my IP address down and apparently she contacted the police. She said she can't get in trouble for doing it as the celebrity she posed as said it was ok for her to pose when she apparently met her. I know she has my IP address because she directed me to a tumblr website and her tumblr tracks IP addresses down, she sent me my Ip address and it was correct. I'm just really scared because I don't wanna get into trouble. I have more than one account too but I'm posing as the same celebrity for each one. I know I shouldn't pose but in a way it makes me feel better because I lost my dad and it's my way of coping because I idolize the celebrity I pose as..i live in the uk and the girl lives in the us. Will I get into trouble..?

Shut down your computer, go outside and have a life with real people... hiding in your virtual insanity isn't going to make you cope better with the loss of your dad. It's a very lame excuse and no matter what, you shouldn't assume someone else's identity.
Be yourself and if you can't, go get professional help.

Unless kik messenger's terms and conditions prevent you from posing as someone else, there's not much the police can do, but it doesn't justify your actions.

That girl is a selfish piece of $H!T and should just let it go. It's like in the movies where a spoilt little kid wants a toy or a pet, and their parents go to the end of the earth to get it, and in this case, the spoilt kid is this bitch. Seriously, an IP address tracker! That girl's mad! Anyway, I would say you're OK as long as you don't say stuff like 'Meet me at ... for a secret concert' or give away false information like 'I live at ... so meet me here for autographs!'. If the police get onto you, I'm sure as long as you haven't done any of the above things, and let them know you only do it because it's like an escape from reality since your dad died. Maybe you could download an IP address masker or something like that which hides your IP from whiny little girls like her?

first of all bro why are you talking to some random chick? i'd tell her to get lost if i were you, second online ID's are not legal ID's so the worst that can happen is someone closing down your ID. dont go impersonating people tho, that is a crime.

You know what's a better idea? Pose as a Celebrity that doesn't exist!!! No crime, no hassle!

im guessing your account is more popular than hers? just ignore her, yes you can track down peoples ip addresses very easily.
i really doubt she's met the celebrity and they told her it was okay, and even if she did, why is she picking on you in particular?
