How to gain media attention and succesfull marketing for a self published book?
Someone in my hometown has self published a great fiction story with a self publishing company, the book is well written and i really enjoyed it, it is a vampire /prophecy kind of genre and the author plans on making it into a series

can anyone tell me how she should go about getting her book out there and achieving actuall sales of her novel?

Money works best. Buy ads and if sales are sufficient it will attract media attention.
