Blackberry 10 vs. Iphone 5?

So I'm due for a free upgrade on my phone plan and I'm debating between the blackberry z10 or the iphone 5. I really like the blackberry but I'm a bit hesitant because of the company's track record obviously. I like the iphone because it's a proven phone with lots of apps available. On the other hand I really like some of the new features of the blackberry 10 such as the keyboard, the hub and the dual business/pleasure feature. As far as phone wise...I would probably venture for the blackberry even though the phone is new and likely not as refined as the iphone. But the fact that they only have 70,000 apps available is definitely a negative. Does anyone know if there will be apps like snapchat or what'sApp, or even games like temple run etc.

I would really appreciate any thoughts you guys have in the matter, and what information you have that I may not know (I have done a fair bit of research, but mainly on features only). Is it worth it to test the waters again with blackberry, or go with the proven iphone?

More stable OS

WhatsApp is on it, though not sure of the other apps. If by keyboard you are talking about the physical keyboard Q10 that's not going to be out until April/May & the Z10 not until the end of March.

I used to own the bold 9790 blackberry but i switched to iphone 5 .. Now choosing between these two phones depends on your personality and what you're looking for .. The iphone has alot of apps available which is great! But when you really think about it .. Its a phone at the end of the day .. Using it for games all the time can mess up your battery life and end up having 20% an hour after unplugging it off the charger .. If you really like the iphone you can get the blackberry and an itouch .. Keep your blackberry for messaging such as bbm , whats app and facebook .. Use your itouch for instagram , skype and other apps available in app store . You'll have both ..

Oh and one last thing .. Blackberry is working on improving their applications .. Instagram is going to be available soon for blackberries .. Read that from an article ..

This is really a tough question, I m hesitate among the iPhone 5, BlackBerry 10 and Lumia 920. But differ from you, I m interested in Q10 rather than Z10. And honestly, I m more faithful in Apple than BlackBerry. However, my rating is Lumia 920 > Q10 >iPhone 5

i already answered your question and told you why you should get the z10
the thing is that 70,000 apps is a plus not a negative thing
because the phone just launched and it has a big amount of apps
whatsapp will be coming to bbb10 very soon
same thing goes with all of the rest of the apps
and yes its worth going with blackberry because the phone is amazing
