If I block someone on Twitter, will all of their mentions disappear from my interactions page?

Someone on Twitter is flooding my mentions. Not in a bad way, but they seem to be having a one-way conversation with me when I'm not there. It's annoying the hell out of me to come back online and see so many mentions by this person when I haven't been there to reply. If I block them and then unblock them, will the mentions stay gone from my interactions page or will they appear again?

If you block them and then unblock them 2 days or more later then probably the mentions will be gone. But if you do it and unblock them 10 seconds later or something the mentions will probably say. But I'd say maybe try and talk to the person first, if they are on Twitter a lot then the chances are they are quite thick skinned and will be ok about it. Most of the time people are quite nice on Twitter anyway.
