More help needed, PLEASE!?
Please help me-my son may be in danger. I had asked a question about my security site stating the Chrome Browser on my phone was at risk, and I had asked if a hacker could get into my Chrome Browser, could they access my other accounts too, like my email and Google Drive, because my son's address was sent to a couple friends through email and I wanted to see if my son's address was available through a site on Google Drive-I won't mention the site for his safety, but I didn't want his information floating around, and his address was on the Google site. I just checked my other security site, Clean Master, and under Privacy and Security, it stated I had Browser risks-when I clicked on that warning, it showed all the Yahoo questions I've asked and answered, and I was just wondering if this means someone has been vieiwing my phone's Yahoo Answers site, and reading all my questions and answers-if they did, can they get into my email or any other site? I cleaned the browser history right away, and it came up stating "No Browser History". What does this mean? Is there a hacker looking at my Yahoo Answers information? If so, can they get into my email account and see all my folders-sent mail, Inbox, Drafts, etc.? I deeply appreciate any help-I am worried my son is at risk.

Hello there,

Firstly, your taking this like the Internet is full of predators, and that is in no way true. Accept the fact that your information will always be floating around, and that's how the Internet works. Now, I am not telling you to completely block the Internet from your son, but there are certain risks. Now, let's list out the components of your question and answer them.

1. "stating the Chrome Browser on my phone was at risk, and I had asked if a hacker could get into my Chrome Browser," Yes and no, but I reassure you, your information is safe. Most hackers don't go to your browser unless they want search history. Your other info is safe, like credit cards, as they are stored in databases connected to your bank. But there is malware that can hijack your browser, and install more malware, such as adware, to your computer. A type of malware that it may install (usually it does not) would be a keylogger. To prevent malware, download an antivirus, such as Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials.

2. "could they access my other accounts too, like my email and Google Drive, because my son's address was sent to a couple friends" Your son's address is safe, unless he is communicating with hackers, which is not likely. It goes through safe networks and usually won't get intercepted. Now, if a hacker were to get his hands on your browser and upload a keylogger, he may be able to access your accounts. If a hacker were to get a hold of your sons address, he/she would not able to access your accounts, but maybe your sons.

3. "I wanted to see if my son's address was available through a site on Google Drive" Your sons information is stored in networks connected to Google, and it is highly uncommon it would be penetrated, putting accounts at risk.

4. "I clicked on that warning, it showed all the Yahoo questions I've asked and answered, and I was just wondering if this means someone has been vieiwing my phone's Yahoo Answers site, and reading all my questions and answers-if they did, can they get into my email or any other site". Anybody can view your questions and answers on Yahoo Answers, but you are safe. Hackers can't get into your email without a password or making/using complex code, and it's the same for every other site.

5. " I cleaned the browser history right away, and it came up stating "No Browser History". What does this mean? Is there a hacker looking at my Yahoo Answers information?" The "No Browser History" means that the browser cleared the history successfully. Usually hackers don't look at Yahoo Answers information, and it has no important information on it.

6. "If so, can they get into my email account and see all my folders-sent mail, Inbox, Drafts, etc." If they happen to get your Yahoo password, yes.

You shouldn't be this worried about your son's safety on the internet, as it is usually safe. There are few hackers on the Internet, and your son is not at risk. All in all, you and your son are completely safe.
