Can I use an Amazon gift card to make my purchase from Amazon.com?
I want to buy my college books from Amazon.com. Is it possible to do this with a Amazon gift card? It's the one you can buy in stores like Rite-Aid and Best Buy, right? Would I be able to apply an exact amount of money into it? or only the amount the card has, for example: $20/25/50/100 gift cards? and lastly would i be able to make the purchase with the gift card only? It's because I created an Amazon account today and don't have any credit card or bank account or whatsoever attached to the account, would I be able to redeem my gift card on the site to make any purchase I want? And the last thing is if I would be able to add next day shipping assuming I'm paying with a gift card?

THANKS A MILLION!!!! Smile

Yes, the gift cards at pharmacies/department stores are the gift cards you are able to use of Amazon; however, I've never seen an in-store card where you can add a specific odd balance on it. For example, if the book (in total) is $97.57, you cannot purchase a gift card for that precise amount, however, you can purchase your book with the $100 gift card method.

Yes, you can apply whatever shipping method you'd like and it'll be taken off of the gift card balance just like the actual product would.
