Internet not working on s3mini?

I have internet on my phone, both wifi and packet data but the thing is I can only use my social networks like twitter and instagram. When I try to use my gps, google search or google play it says i have no network connection. Help me asap!!

have you checked in settings, data usage and select menu button, and make sure that the setting for restrict background data is not selected, as this caused a weird effect like this for me.
