1mbps download speed?
Okay, so I have noticed that youtube has been extremely slow lately. Barely being able to pull off a 144p video at times.

I checked my internet speed, and its at 1mbps download, 2 mbps upload. It doesnt make much sense that the upload is higher than the download.

My speed is supposed to be, according to my plan, "up to 20mbps". or atleast somewhere close.

WOuld you guess that there might be something wrong with my modem? Or would it be the provider?

I thought it was just my computer at first, but after trying to download games on my PS4, It takes about a day or 2 for a fairly small game.

You are sharing the bandwidth your isp has available in your neighborhood. When an area is particularly congested, you'll see exactly what you are experiencing now. Most people use a LOT more downstream bandwidth than upstream, and clog your tubes.

OR, you simply have poor connection between the network and your modem somewhere. Such that your modem doesent hear everything it should, but the local CO can hear it ok. This usually has to do with quality of hardware. Check that all the connections are clean and tight, and there isn't a branch or bird nest causing problems out near the service drop point.

I don't think that enough bandwidth because you can't really do anything on that speed.
