a good laptop?

In November, my dell latitude d510 died. In February, my refurbished macbook mid-2007's combo drive stopped working and now the hard drive is failing. What is a good cheap laptop? I am looking for something I can get online with (facebook, gmail, youtube, etc) and can run the latest Ubuntu OS without any problems. I looking for something with a 15 inch screen, at least 2 usb ports, an sd card slot, dvd r/w drive, and webcam. The most I am willing to spend is $300. I don't care about touchscreen or any new features. Just a basic laptop that can run OpenOffice, Skype, and can watch movies on. Thanks
