Internet Connection wont show up?

Okay. I have an internet connection called "tywire" it doesn't show up but all the other connections around me do. I cant connect to my connection, it says "Not in Range" But i know for a fact that it IS in range. How can i fix this. Not only is it disconnected but it wont even show up on the list.

Turn off the router for 20 seconds, the pc should find it once you've turned it back on.

if ur connection is DSL then do the following:
control panel>internet connections>right click "local area connection">check the box "place icon on the taskbar" > apply... ok
